From the depths of the ocean, to the outer reaches of space, to the complex inner workings of our brains and bodies certain geometric and organic shapes repeat across life - there is symmetry to it all.
In addition to this elegant simplicity of nature, life creates infinite variations across a pattern of vast complexity. The result comprises the highly organized chaos that is life. In this paradox I believe there is a wealth of wisdom for the human soul to contemplate.
I aim to express a part of this in each work of art I create. I think of each image as a kind of conceptual meditation that offers a lens of contemplation to the viewer that is (hopefully) enriching, thought provoking, and beautiful.

My current work explores organic shapes and spiritual symbolism to look for and find meaning in life, nature, and the art of being human.
Flow Art
My process for creating this artwork is my therapy.
I start with a liquid pour and use fluid dynamics to expose colors buried in the layers of paint and create a base-layer composition. Then, I explore the shapes that nature helped me to create, painting layers on top that are thought-provoking and beautiful. Lastly, I let my inner graphic artist go wild, digitally creating product and color variants of the original painting that can be stacked and tiled to make unique pop-art arrangements, t-shirt graphics and more.
Each step brings me into a meditative flow wherein I can retrain my mind and body to exist out of "fight-or-flight" mode after struggling for years with c/PTSD. It is my hope that the resulting imagery evokes positive emotional energy and provokes meditative thought to assist and embellish the mental health journeys of its viewer.
